If you watched the Golden Globe Awards show last night, then you heard Dennis Quaid introduce a clip of the movie, Brokeback Mountain, with a tasteless joke: Let's just say it rhymes with chick flick. His audience responded with verbal silence but audible discomfort.
All I could think was, What an ass. Is it any wonder Meg Ryan left him?

haha! yes no wonder. have you seen brokeback mountain yet? I haven't but its definitely going to be the big oscar winner no doubt!
Ugh. Is it possible that was written for him and not spontaneous? I hate thinking that even Dennis could be that low class.
I've avoided "Brokeback Mountain" because it's so popular and, as a rule, I shun things that media friendly, but... But, my gay friends are all raving about it and it does seem like a genuinely interested, and complicated, love story, so I'll probably see it soon. I'd rather take a date, though, and get the credit for being all sensitive and stuff like that there.
